The professional quality labels I hoped for were definitely apparent in the results of my print-out test. The results can be excellent, top quality labels, if designed properly. It is even possible to easily transfer your own digital pictures/graphics and text directly into the program and onto your CD! Predesigned templates are even available to choose from. There are many different types of designs and graphics you can pick from the huge Image Library, and easily place onto the label you are creating. The MediaFace software is necessary to design the labels, and it includes such a wide range of options - The possibilities for personalization are seemingly endless! This system definitely lives up to its description as the "complete personal labeling solution." The included MediaFace 4.0 CD, which includes the Design Software and Image Library, were easy to install, and even a new computer user will have no trouble installing the program. I believe most other cd labelers do not have this rubber pad. I noticed immediately the advantage of the rubber base pad on the bottom of the applicator, making it much more difficult for the applicator to slip during the process of applying the label. The particular unit I received was a clear navy blue with a silver design on the top, I am not sure if all of the units of this model are exactly the same. Labels for every possible form of media were included, among them: Videos, Audio cassettes, PC floppy disks, CD, DVD, Jewel cases, and many other templates! The Neato applicator, which perfectly aligns the labels onto the CD's, is extremely unique in the respect that it has a very attractive appeal and an attactive/flashy design. My first impression - WOW! Included in the package was a gigantic assortment of 120 labels, for use with both inkjet and laser printers. Upon receiving the Fellowes/Neato CD/DVD Labeling System, I opened it with the hope of being able to create better quality labels than possible with the HP version. I was not impressed - it could not produce a label of the professional quality I was seeking. I MAY still use the CD labels and booklets but I HAVE HAD IT with the tray cards for CD Casesīefore I begin my review, let me just say that I have tried using Hewlett Packard's Cd-Labeler. To ALIGN it tho, you must use thier horrid software that they DON'T SUPPORT ! AND NEVER WILL SUPPORTĪfter I am done with the hundreds more labels, booklets and tray card liners I have still to use from them, I am NOW looking for another label/booklet/tray card liner system. The INNER ring and that is damn good, but THAT is their ONLY saving grace. Not the outer ring everyone else's CD labels go to. It goes almost ALL the way in, it goes all ythe way into the tiny small inner ring. I wrote them a couple years ago saying the same thing and the only reason I haven't gotten to another company that does the same thing is that NEATO has the full coverage CD Label. THE SOFTWARE for ALIGNING it all is HORRIBLE ![]() ![]() ![]() Software for ALIGNING text for tray cards, the CD labels themselves, Booklets I just wrote NEATO to tell them how horrible their Jack Diamond's Response to 70177_Steve.'s Review
