Every player has something that he can do. We want guys that are physical, that can move and that are quick. So what we have to do is enhance the best qualities of each guy and see where it plugs in and where it fits. I want guys who are tough, who can play the game with passion, intensity, and after that, the skill sets will vary from each guy. TC: Before I really tap into skills, I look for a certain makeup. GS.com: What kinds of qualities do you look for in your players? He is eager to get after it and he is a heck of an athlete so hopefully the learning and the improvement will continue through spring with him and all the rest of those guys. Right now he is out there and he is flashing some nice things. TC: For me, I don’t see him as switching positions, because when I met him he was a defensive end. GS.com: What do you think about Alex Daniels and do you see him being a big impact player this season despite the fact that he switched positions last year? There are going to be missteps (along the way), but the thing is to play the game fast, to play the game physical and to have fun doing it and let it all hang out. We want guys to fly around, play hard, have fun and get after each other. They have to be fast, furious and physical. We have to know that whoever is in, that when he comes out and the next guy steps in, the same thing is expected and that is how we will be successful. I want (my guys) to go hard all the time and leave it all on the field every single down of every single day. TC: My expectation for him is really the same as it is for the rest of them. What are your expectations of him in 2007? GS.com: Willie VanDeSteeg had a breakthrough year in 2006. You can’t ask for anything more than that. TC: I see a bunch of young, hungry, hard-working men. GS.com: Can you access what you have seen so far from your position group?
